82. Cryptic

I like my rituals. After tea each night
a coffee, and the crossword. If I knew
what happens when a setter gets it right
I’d bottle it. But that’s what pleases me.
6 down, for instance, offers “Teacher trained
with software, Outlook. (7, 8)” . Could be
straightforward, just a portrait. Once explained
its subtlety emerges. Seven, eight
makes fifteen letters. “Teacher” “software”?  Sweet.
The “trained” is code for “anagram”. I’d guess
“Outlook” must be the answer to the clue.
Forget technology. Where would you see
an outlook? TV? “Weather forecast”? Yes!
It’s not impossible, but it is neat.
