Never Again

Not many people i know were actually eager to have a referendum, but I don't think any of us really dreamed how bad it would be. Whatever happens tomorrow morning - and yup, I am scared stiff - it won't "decide" anything. The bitter divisions which have been not just revealed but poked, prodded, irritated - will continue to fester. These illusions of drawing a line or taking back control are just soundbites. We'll be left with the brutal fact that we are deeply divided, don't see things in the same way, and there's a lot of mileage for some politicans and some media in aggravating those divisions. Even if we vote to remain, this isn't the country i want to live in.
