Literary Cabaret

The photograph is of the writer A.L.Kennedy, performing at the literary cabaret at the Guernsey Festival. As usual, she was witty and entertaining. She'd brought a story about a sex shop, and did a serious double-take when she discovered that there were two young children in the audience. She was clearly taken aback, but found a neat solution. Whenever the word vibrator appeared in the story, she said "garden implement". Gardening will never be the same again.

Oh yes, I should have said. She was the third item on the bill. Opening the whole show, was..me. Is this it? Have I finally made the big time? In any case, it was a great night, and i'm in love with Guernsey.
