It’s been on before, I’ve seen it before, but it was still a delight to watch “Scandal in Belgravia” again. i know opinions vary on the updated Sherlock series, but I think it’s a triumph. The Cumberbatch/Freeman double act works brilliantly, with much more interplay and humour than the original, but it also manages to convey Holmes thinking in action, often with tricksy jokes. The quick printing of verbal explanation over the physical clues he’s looking at sounds like a daft idea but works brilliantly, and in this episode they manage the impossible – a virginal Holmes who’s really sexy. No, I can’t explain. You’ll have to watch it for yourself.
