It’s been a tough, tense ride, but finally Line of Duty, series 2, has come to an end. Like any other successful series, it’s attracted its share of irritating niggles by opinionated columnists, but for me it’s been the best thing on TV by a mile. Intricate, well-written and convincingly acted, it’s somehow found a way of making police intrigue fresh and interesting. And the smart sexy Keeley Hawes who list up Tipping the Velvet is almost unrecognisable. there will be a series 3, and it may well be a disappointment, but for the moment thanks, guys, for so much pleasure.
