Terrific TV documentary about the super rich. Not glossy impact filming, with crude messages and swirling music. Careful, calm intelligence, with Jacques Peretti steadily building a case and accumulating evidence. He finds some terrific interviewees, including some very rogue people who are quite open about the damage that inequality does to our society as a whole. But he also digs up some unrepentant capitalists, listens carefully to what they say, and is then prepared to put the tough, searching question which puts them on the spot. We don’t get stuff like this very often, so it’s worth treasuring while it’s here, even if – predictably – the TV comment columns are breathlessly busy somewhere else.
